Verify Device Connections
Ensure your camera and microphone are properly connected. If they're external devices, try unplugging and replugging them or switching USB ports.
If you’re using Bluetooth headphones or an external microphone, make sure they’re connected to your system.
Browser Permissions
In your browser, check permissions to ensure the website has access to the camera and microphone:
In Chrome, go to chrome://settings/content/camera
or chrome://settings/content/microphone
to review site permissions.
If you recently denied access, try resetting the permissions and reloading the page.
Clear Cache and Cookies
Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can often resolve conflicts that block device access. After clearing, restart your browser and try joining the room again.
Browser Privacy Mode
Try joining the meeting in incognito or private mode to rule out extensions or plugins that might be causing interference.
System Privacy Settings
On Windows: Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and Settings > Privacy > Microphone, then ensure your browser and apps have permissions enabled.
On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab, then check Camera and Microphone permissions for your browser.
Disable Other Applications
Ensure no other applications (e.g., Zoom, Teams) are using the camera or microphone, as many systems only allow one app to use them at a time.
Browser or Device Restart
Restarting the browser or even your computer can often refresh device access permissions.
Alternative Device
If the audio and/or video errors persist, the use of an alternate device is recommended.
