What is the Proof of RON Commission?

The Proof of RON Commission is proof of appointment from your Secretary of State (SOS) that the Notary is approved to complete Remote Online Notarizations (RON). 

This could include one of the following:

• Email from SOS approving the Notary
• Screenshot from the SOS website showing that the Notary is approved
• Scanned copy of a certificate from the SOS

Important: Training certificates are not acceptable for this step. Do not upload certificates from online training providers or state-issued training programs, as these do not serve as proof of your notary appointment.
