Best practices to ensure a successful meeting
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE
- Non-expired, government-issued ID (passport, state ID, or driver’s license)
- Smartphone with a camera (to be used for ID verification)
- Quiet space with a stable, reliable internet connection (Avoid Hotspots)
- Computer with access to your email inbox, a video camera, and a microphone
- Computer with a minimum 4 GB of RAM (8 GB is recommended)
- Operating System that supports the most up-to-date Chrome Browser (our recommended browser)
**VPNs must be turned off ahead of joining a meeting**
Mobile devices can be used for eSign but are not recommended for Meetings.
SUGGESTED PRACTICES AHEAD OF MEETING
- Run a network test
- Run an internet speed test (speed should be over 30MB)
- Update your browser to the latest version
- Clear Cookies & Cache
Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Stavvy.
SETTING UP CAMERA & MIC ACCESS

PC / WINDOWS
- Close any other application that may be, or have been, accessing your video camera prior to joining the meeting.
MAC
- Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy.
- Select the “Camera” & “Microphone” icons on the left side.
- Checkmark the browser you are using for the meeting on the right side (if not already selected).
- Close the browser application for these changes to take effect.
GOOGLE CHROME or MICROSOFT EDGE
- When prompted, click Allow.
- If you receive an error, click the camera button in the top right corner, select the always allow... option, and click Done.
- Refresh your browser.
We highly recommend Google Chrome over the Microsoft Edge browser for meetings.

MOZILLA FIREFOX
- When prompted, use the drop-down options for Camera to share and Microphone to share, and click Allow.
- If you receive an error, click the camera and microphone button in the top left corner and press the X next to the Blocked Temporarily messages.
- Refresh your browser.
SAFARI
- When prompted by the pop-up in the center of your screen, select “Allow.”
- If you receive an error, click Safari in the top-left corner of the screen, and select Preferences.
- Click Websites at the top of the popup window and select the Camera & Microphone icons on the left side.
- Identify the entry for connect.stavvy.com and change the permission to Allow.
- Close out of the popup window and refresh the page.
