Technical Requirements for Using IPEN in Stavvy

These are general recommendations for using Stavvy. Any direction given by your Company or Notary Signing Service would supersede these requirements.

Signer Requirements

1. Non-expired, government-issued ID (passport, state ID, or driver's license)
2. Smartphone with a camera (to be used for ID verification)

Notary Requirements

1. Reliable internet connection
2. Tablet, laptop, or computer
3. Computer with a minimum 4 GB of RAM (8 GB is recommended)
4. Operating system that supports the most up-to-date Chrome browser
5. The minimum tablet size supported is 768 pixels x 1024 pixels, which equates to an iPad mini. Any smaller tablets are not recommended.
6. Mobile devices are not recommended for IPEN meetings

VPNs must be turned off ahead of joining a meeting

Best Practices Prior to Meeting

1. Run a network test
2. Run an internet speed test (speed should be <1MB)
3. Update your browser to the latest version
4. Clear Cookies & Cache
