Follow the steps below to set up your Notary Profile in Stavvy!
Access Stavvy
1. Log in to connect.stavvy.com
2. Click your Name in the top right corner and select Settings.
3. Click the Notary tab. This will bring you to the Notary Profile section.
Requirements to Set Up Notary Profile
You will need the following to complete your profile:
- Non-expired, government-issued ID (passport, ID card, or driver’s license)
- Smartphone with a camera
- Desktop/Laptop Computer with access to Stavvy
- IdenTrust Certificate
- Proof of RON commission
Notary Seal
Certification Details - Depending on your State's seal requirements, you may see State, County, Commission Number, Notary Title, and Expiration Date.
- Select the State you are commissioned.
- Enter the remaining data for your commission.
- Select Notary Public for Notary Title.

Seal Generation Preview - Verify that your Seal is correctly populated.
ID Card
Complete the Credential Analysis step to verify your Government-issued ID.
Signature
Confirm that the Signature is correct
Digital Certificate
Upload Digital Certificate - Upload the Identrust Digital Certificate purchased.
Exemplar Document
- Some states require you to notarize an Exemplar document. Instructions for this can be found here.
- If your state does not require this, you won't see this tab in your profile.
Proof of RON Commission
Upload Proof of Appointment - This is the confirmation email the SOS (Secretary of State) has provided a notary, confirming you are now a certified RON notary in the state.
Important: Training certificates are not acceptable for this step. Do not upload certificates from online training providers or state-issued training programs, as these do not serve as proof of your notary appointment.
Note: Some states do not provide verification notifications. In those cases, you can take a screenshot of the State website showing you are listed as a remote or electronic notary.
Stavvy Approval
This will clearly display to users the status of their profile, including:
- If their profile is under review by the Stavvy Customer Support team
- When the Stavvy Customer Support team has approved their profile
- If the Stavvy Customer Support team has rejected their profile, and it needs to be resubmitted
- If either their State Commission or Digital Certification will be expiring in 30 days
- If their State Commission or Digital Certification has expired
Please allow 24-48 business hours for profile approval.
