Follow the steps below for best practices on correcting annotations after Documents have been finalized
Scenario: Your Client signed their documents, the Meeting has finished, and--uh oh, an annotation (seal, signature, etc) is missing/incorrect!
Steps to take when correcting missing annotations:
Update the document with the correct annotations.
1. From the Documents tab of the Meeting Details page find the finalized document, click on the ellipses (three dots) and click View
2. From here, click Unlock for Editing
3. Add missing annotations
- Review our Edit Annotations article for step by step instructions.
Be sure you do not remove the Client's signature, or they will need to sign the documents again!
4. Click Mark Ready to Sign
5. Reach out to support@stavvy.com to create a meeting for you. In the email include:
- Meeting Name
- Original Meeting Date
- Borrower Names
6. You'll receive a meeting invite once the new meeting has been created. Join the meeting from the email invite link or locate the new meeting on the Meeting Details page.
- The new meeting will have a status of Upcoming
7. From the Meeting Details page, click Join on the new meeting
8. Click on the newly added annotations to complete and apply
9. Click on Complete Signing at the top right corner
10. End the Meeting using the End Meeting button
Please note: Two versions of the document will now show on the audit trail, one will be the old document version, and one will reflect the newly added annotations.
