Follow the steps below for best practices on correcting annotations after Documents have been finalized
Update the document with the correct annotations
- From the Documents tab of the Meeting Details page, find the document, click on the ellipses (three dots), and click View.
- From here, click the Unlock for Editing button at the top right of the screen.
- Add/edit missing annotations. Review our Edit Annotations article for step-by-step instructions. Be sure you do not remove the Client's signature, or they will need to sign the documents again!
- Click Mark Ready to Sign
Note: All Date annotations on the document will be updated to reflect the date the document was finalized. If this date is different from the original meeting date with the signer, delete their Date annotation and add a Text Field annotation to enter the date they signed the document.
Complete the updated document(s)
- If the annotations require a new meeting, Signature, Initials, Seal, etc, reach out to the meeting creator to create a new meeting for you.
- If the annotations do not require a new meeting, text field, reach out to support@stavvy.com to re-finalize the document.
- You'll receive a meeting invite once the new meeting has been created. Join the meeting from the email invite link or locate the new meeting on the Meeting Details page.
- The new meeting will have a status of Upcoming
- The new meeting will have a status of Upcoming
- From the Meeting Details page, click Join on the new meeting
- Click on the newly added annotations to complete and apply
- Click on Complete Signing at the top right corner
- End the Meeting using the End Meeting button
Please note: Two versions of the document will now show on the audit trail, one will be the old document version, and one will reflect the newly added annotations.
