Mobile Devices: Clearing Browser History, Cookies, and Cache

This guide will help you clear your browser history, cookies, and cache on iOS with Safari, iOS with Chrome, and Android with Chrome.

Clearing these can help you proceed with the difficulties of uploading your ID for verification before starting to sign on to the meeting.

iOS with Safari

Steps to Clear History, Cookies, and Cache

1. Open Settings:
   • Tap the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Scroll to Safari:
   • Scroll down and tap on Safari.
3. Clear History and Website Data:
   • Scroll down and select Clear History and Website Data.
   • A prompt will appear; confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.
4. Manage Cookies (optional):
   • For more specific cookie management, go back to Safari settings.
   • Tap Advanced > Website Data.
   • Here, you can see a list of websites and delete specific cookies or tap Remove All Website Data to delete everything.

Note: Clearing history will remove your browsing history from all devices using the same iCloud account if you have Safari enabled in iCloud settings.

iOS with Chrome

Steps to Clear History, Cookies, and Cache

1. Open Chrome App:
   • Launch the Chrome app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Access Menu:
   • Tap the three dots (⋮) in the bottom right corner.
3. Go to Settings:
   • Tap Settings.
4. Privacy:
   • Scroll down and select Privacy.
5. Clear Browsing Data:
   • Tap on Clear Browsing Data.
6. Select Data to Clear:
   • Choose Browsing History, Cookies, Site Data, and Cached Images and Files. You can select or deselect the options as per your need.
7. Clear Data:
   • Tap Clear Browsing Data at the bottom and confirm your choice.

Android with Chrome

Steps to Clear History, Cookies, and Cache

1. Open Chrome App:
   • Launch the Chrome app on your Android device.
2. Access Menu:
   • Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner.
3. Go to History:
   • Tap History.
4. Clear Browsing Data:
   • At the top, tap Clear browsing data….
5. Select Data to Clear:
   • Choose a time range from the drop-down menu (e.g., Last hour, Last 24 hours, All time).
   • Select the types of data you want to clear: Browsing history, Cookies and site data, and Cached images and files.
6. Clear Data:
   • Tap Clear data at the bottom and confirm your selection.
