What do I do if my signature is too long?

Review this article if your signature exceeds the character limit and/or extends beyond the parameters of the page. 

In situations where the name is long, or there is a title following the name- Guardian etc. the signature may exceed the 45-character limit and be too long to correctly fit on the page.

If you run into a signature length issue take note of the following options:

• Make sure the signature is 45 characters or less. (Spaces are included in the 45-character limit)
• If your signature exceeds the 45 character limit, consider using one of the options below if your state allows:
  • Use the Draw option to draw the signature
  • Upload a hand-drawn signature

If your signature runs off of the page:

• Go to the Meeting Details page and select the Edit Annotations option for the document.

• The Signature annotation can be resized 
  • Hover over the annotation and drag it to resize it to be smaller

• If resizing does not resolve the issue:
  • Delete the signature
  • Re-add the annotation for the signature and move the annotation to the left to ensure the signature will fit on the page

If the signature is too large after it has been applied in a meeting:

The resizing process will be the same! Hover your mouse over the box in the top right corner, then drag the arrow to adjust the height and width. Initials can be resized as well.
