Review the article below to learn about Stavvy's new annotation editor! Releasing October 22nd.
New functionality includes:
- Overall new UI for all dedicated annotating experiences
- Does not include the Drag/Drop inside of live meetings
- New left-side drawer (collapsible) with icon-based tabs:
- Pages - the pages (with preview) of the currently viewed document. Clicking on the pages scrolls the user to that page in the document.
- Documents list - in eSign packets and meeting documents, a list of all the documents (with names and statuses) in the meeting/packet. Clicking on the document opens that document in the editor. This tab does not exist for templates or exemplar document editors.
- Info (optional) - information on the meeting or packet details.
-
New right-side sidebar:
-
- A checkbox has been added to specifically make any meeting document a RON document, requiring a notary to be present for it to be signed. This checkbox should become checked automatically if the notary's annotations are dragged onto a document that does not already have a RON status.
- Annotation 'blocks' and assignments have been moved here, previously on the left sidebar.
- The button to delete annotations for all or a single user has been moved to this sidebar.
- For templates, adding a new signer role is now controlled from a button in the sidebar, rather than inside the assignee dropdown.
-
Redesigned top bar:
-
- Has controls for adding templates, downloading the current document in view, and zoom.
- Has the back button (no longer in the left sidebar).
- New location for action buttons to update the document's status (Mark Ready to Sign, Make changes, Unlock for editing). Also the new location for saving templates.
-
Updating/configuring annotations:
-
- New floating configuration popup that is triggered when the user clicks the gear icon on the top left of each annotation, after selecting it. All changes to the assignee, required/optional, and font size have been moved here. This configuration will also show who is assigned and what the annotation type is.
- Users can also delete annotations by clicking the delete button in this configuration, or by hitting the backspace key while the annotation is selected.
- Users can now duplicate an annotation using a button in the configuration. Text entered in Text Field annotation will carryover into the duplicated annotation.
- Signatures and initials are fully resizable. They start at a slightly larger size than they did historically, and will retain the last size the editor changed that same type of annotation to (this is carryover from most recent changes to the V1 editor). There is no longer a size preset.
