We understand that conducting RON signings via a mobile device could add extra convenience for your clients, unfortunately, our RON meetings are not supported on mobile devices. Let us explain why:
- The signing experience wasn't built for mobile devices, so the signer will find that many buttons or actions may be hidden unless they pinch and zoom out on their phone screen, and they may not know how to do so.
- For example, when a signer joins a meeting on a mobile device they aren't able to see their own video or the notary's video. There is a button in the top right of the screen to minimize the meeting details and expand the video, but on nearly all mobile devices you need to pinch and zoom out to see it, it does not appear on the first load.
- It's very challenging to scroll and sign through the documents. Because it's not built for mobile sizes, it's not clear to see where to touch the screen to scroll the document, vs to move the whole interface, and can be cumbersome to work through and find the annotations.
- The document will not jump to the annotations making this an unpleasant experience for the signer.
- KBA does not work on mobile devices, it will not be sent to the signer's mobile device- leaving this important step unable to be completed.
For the best signing experience, please ensure everyone is prepared to join the meeting from a desktop or laptop computer.
